Be a Part of History!

Protestant Reformation Class Coming to Monday Nights

The church we know and love wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the Protestant Reformation, which is celebrating its 500th Anniversary this month! The Reformation changed everything about church, and gave us so many things we take for granted: hymn singing, a weekly scripture lesson, and a Bible in our own language.  Come learn about the Reformation and explore its theological underpinnings, its revolutionary approach to the Bible, and some of the more controversial aspects. Rev. Amy Lignitz Harken will co-facilitate this discussion-based class with Tara Rajaniemi on Monday nights, Oct. 9 – Oct. 30 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Our discussions will flow from an easy-to-read study guide, available for $5.00.   Please invite your friends and neighbors to join you in this class, which is open to the community.   To sign up, please call the church office ASAP. (You don’t have to take the class to order the study guide – it’s pretty interesting all on its own!).
