Summer Worship

Worship Times

Please note: Worship is at 9:00 a.m. until September 10, 2017

From September through mid-June, our traditional 10 a.m. service begins with scripture:

“This is the day the Lord has made; Let us Rejoice and be glad in it!” (Ps. 118:24)

This sets the tone for our uplifting time of worship, featuring either the choir, or accompaniment by our new worship band. Most Sundays, children are invited to the pulpit area for their special time with the minister, before being dismissed to Sunday School (pre-K through grade 12). Teenagers have their own Bible Study, may stay in worship, or may help with younger grades. There is nursery space for children in the “Church Family Room,” with an attendant provided.

We celebrate communion the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome to participate. On communion Sundays, children begin the worship in their classrooms, and then join their families for communion.

During the summer, our worship takes on a more casual tone, starting at 9 a.m. and including a hymn sing. Children spend the entire time in “God’s Garden Club,” learning about nature, cooking, science and a variety of interesting topics, through the lens of God’s creative power.
